Jalapeno Poppers



Ingredients

  • Jalapeño peppers, seeded and halved

  • Cream cheese - Softened

  • Cheddar cheese - Shredded

  • Milk

  • Frying Oil

  • All-purpose flour

  • Bread crumbs

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and Cheddar cheese. Spoon this mixture into the jalapeño halves.

  2. Fill 3 separate bowls with milk, flour, breadcrumbs. Dip the stuffed jalapenos first into the milk then into the flour, making sure they are well coated with each.

  3. Wait for flour coating to dry

  4. Dip the jalapenos in milk again and roll them through the breadcrumbs. Repeat to build a thicker shell.

  5. In a medium skillet, heat the oil to 365° F. Deep fry the coated jalapenos 2 to 3 minutes each, until golden brown. Remove and let drain on a paper towel.

Tip - For a healthier alternative, bake the poppers at 375° until coating is golden brown.
